Zelenskyy awards 770 servicemen, 574 of them posthumously - presidential decree
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has presented state awards to 770 defenders of Ukraine for their heroism and selfless service. Most of them - 574 soldiers - were awarded posthumously.
The corresponding decree No. 880/2024 was published on the website of the head of state, Censor.NET reports.
According to the document, the awards were given for their courage in defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as for the faithful performance of military duty.
Among the honors received:
- Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi;
- Order of Danylo Halytskyi;
- Order of Courage;
- Medals "For Military Service to Ukraine", "To the Defender of the Fatherland" and "For Saved Life".
Captain Vladyslav Bondarenko and Colonel Maksym Lanovyi received special recognition and were awarded the Cross of Military Merit.
As a reminder, today, on December 25, 2024, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented certificates for apartments to the Heroes of Ukraine and the families of the fallen Heroes.
