Russia is organizing transfer of Ukrainian high school students to its universities - NRC
The Russian occupation authorities continue the policy of forced integration of Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories
This is reported by the National Resistance Center, Censor.NET informs.
As part of the "university changes" program under the auspices of the Kremlin's "movement of the first" in 2024, about 3700 high school students from Donetsk region were taken to Russia to attend higher education institutions.
During the trips, children are offered preferential conditions for admission to Russian universities, focusing on programs for "talented youth." Thus, the occupation authorities actually stimulate assimilation and brainwashing, trying to make young people more dependent on propaganda ideology.
As noted, this program is part of the Kremlin's broader strategy aimed at cultural identification of young people with Russia and further assimilation. It is not yet known how many children have agreed to enroll in Russian universities, but the program raises concerns as another attempt to interfere in the lives of Ukrainians in the occupied territories.
