Head of RMA Filashkin: 249 residents remain in Chasiv Yar, 7.5 thousand in Pokrovsk, most evacuated
More than three thousand people, including all children, have been evacuated from Pokrovsk, and only 249 people remain in Chasiv Yar due to the complete destruction of the city.
This was announced by the head of the Donetsk regional administration Vadym Filashkin on the air of the national telethon, Censor.NET reports.
"There are 7.5 thousand people in Pokrovsk now, more than 3 thousand people have left in a week. We took all the children out - last week there were 16 children, now there are no children in Pokrovsk," Filashkin said.
According to him, a total of about 11,000 people, including 27 children, remain in the Pokrovsk community. The local administration continues to work on the evacuation, in particular of all the children who still remain in the community. Some shops and ATMs are functioning, but the threat of occupation is growing: the enemy is about 3 km from Pokrovsk.
"The town of Chasiv Yar almost does not exist. 249 people stay in basements. There is not a single whole house. There is almost no possibility to visit people. If we can visit twice a week in the morning to bring people drinking water and humanitarian aid, food, it is very good. The situation is very difficult, the city is almost completely destroyed, and people are not leaving," the head of the RMA emphasized.
As a reminder, on December 23, 2024, Russian troops conducted offensive actions in the area of Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka and Lozova in the Kupiansk direction to improve the tactical situation.
