Soldiers of the 28th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign in the Toretsk sector captured an Egyptian citizen who fought on the side of the Russian invaders.

This was reported by the brigade's press service on social media, Censor.NET informs.

"The occupiers' daily attacks in the Toretsk sector are increasingly reminiscent of battles with the Wagnerites. Unable to break through to us in small groups, the enemy began to increase the number of attackers to 20 people. But the only thing that has changed is the number of casualties. The recent assault is a vivid example of this. Taking advantage of the foggy weather, a group of occupiers managed to get to our positions, but they were immediately met with heavy fire from the infantrymen of the 2nd Mechanised Battalion of the 28th Brigade," the statement said.

The defenders killed part of the group at close range. One ruscist managed to fall into a trench to his comrade-in-arms, but he was quickly smoked out by grenades and subsequently killed.

The rest of the occupation group fled, hiding and pretending to be killed.

"And only one occupier was lucky because he decided to surrender. The only problem was that he turned out to be an Egyptian citizen, so the infantry had to explain everything in gestures," they added.
