The Defense Ministry's procurement agency DOT has announced a tender for the purchase of 1.7 million sets of dry rations for the Ukrainian military in 2025
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The expected cost is over UAH 485 million.
What is included in the dry rations?
A typical set of daily field food kits No. 15 includes 14 items, including:
- main dishes;
- cutlery;
- spices;
- drinks.
The total energy value of the meals should be at least 3500 kcal per set.
"Feeding our defenders is not only a matter of calories, but also a guarantee of their combat readiness. We are introducing new control mechanisms to ensure that the dry rations meet the highest standards, providing strength and endurance to the military in the most difficult conditions," said Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov.
Control over the fulfillment of the contract will be strengthened. In particular, control points have been added where food products will be checked by the Food Safety Authority and non-food products by the DOT.
