As part of the prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine on December 30, 76 servicemen of the Ministry of Internal Affairs returned home today.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko.

"Today is good news. 76 servicemen of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have returned home: 43 guardsmen and 33 border guards. These are our defenders of Mariupol, Zmiine and the Chornobyl nuclear power plant. We will make sure that our people receive all the help and support they need.

They have a long rehabilitation ahead of them, but first they need to receive such long-awaited hugs from their families. Sincere, undisguised emotions," he said.

Klymenko also thanked the President of Ukraine, the head of the Presidential Office and the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

As a reminder, Ukraine and Russia exchanged prisoners of war on December 30. As a result, 189 Ukrainian defenders were returned home.
