Kim Jong-un in his New Year’s greeting called Putin "his closest friend" and Russians "fraternal people"
DPRK leader Kim Jong-un has written a New Year's greeting letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling him "my closest friend and comrade."
According to Censor.NET, this is stated in his greeting to Putin.
Kim Jong-un congratulated Putin, his "closest friend and comrade," on the New Year. He also congratulated himself, the people and all the soldiers of the North Korean armed forces and the "brotherly" people and military of the "brave Russian army".
In his letter, the North Korean leader wrote about the "significant path" in 2024 and said he was ready to further strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the DPRK and Russia.
"Comrade Kim Jong-un wished that the new year, 2025, would be the year of victory in the war in the 21st century, when the army and people of Russia would prevail over the neo-Nazis and win a great victory," the Korean Central News Agency quoted the leader as saying.
