The current gas tariff for Ukrainians and the cost of gas supply remain unchanged.

The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NCREPU) announced this on December 31, Censor.NET reports.

"Attention! False information is being spread in the media. No changes in gas tariffs for the population are expected," the National Commission emphasized.

The Commission said that on December 30, 2024, NCREPU approved new tariffs for natural gas transmission services for GTS Operator of Ukraine LLC. They are calculated for entry and exit points for the regulatory period of 2025-2029.

The new tariffs take into account the termination of Russian gas transit through Ukraine from January 1, 2025.

"Gas and heat tariffs for household consumers will not change if the tariff of the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine is adopted, they are fixed for the entire heating season," said Yurii Vlasenko, Chairman of the NCREPU.

The cost of gas distribution also remains unchanged.

The statement says that the moratorium on raising gas and heating tariffs for households, which has been in effect since 2022, remains in force. Accordingly, the cost of hot water and heating will not change.

Earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that gas, heating and electricity tariffs would remain unchanged until the end of the heating season.
