Russians claimed to have shot down 13 drones. Airports were closed in evening

The Russian Ministry of Defence claims that on the night of 2 January, 13 Ukrainian drones were shot down over five regions of Russia.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Russian media.

The ministry said in a statement that four drones were shot down over Bryansk and Kursk regions, three over Belgorod region, and one over Voronezh and Kaluga regions.

The military has not reported anything about the consequences on the ground.

In addition, flights at 4 Russian airports have been temporarily suspended since the evening of 1 January. It is noted that "for reasons of civil aviation safety", restrictions were introduced in Kaluga, Penza, Saransk and Saratov.
