Military exercises start in Belarus near Ukrainian border

From January 8 to 31, 2025, Belarus will hold military exercises in the Gomel region near the Ukrainian border.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus.
As noted, the exercises will be held under the leadership of the chairman of the Gomel District Executive Committee.
During the training, it is planned to carry out:
- reception of territorial troops liable for military service and their comprehensive support with the use of a local mobilization deployment base;
- restoring the skills of the command staff of territorial troops in managing subordinates;
- training of persons liable for military service to perform tasks, in particular, together with engineering units of the armed forces.
Earlier, dictator Lukashenko claimed that Zelenskyy was allegedly being "commanded" to drag Belarus into war.
