Over the past year, 352 car arsons were committed in Ukraine, and the vast majority of them were ordered by the Russian Federation's special services. The perpetrators have already been brought to justice in 229 cases.
According to Censor.NET, this was stated by the Deputy Head of the National Police, Chief of the Criminal Police, Andrii Nebytov.
In addition to cars, the offenders set fire to relay cabinets on the railway (149 cases), as well as shopping centers, post offices, and police stations (57 cases of sabotage and terrorist acts in total).
"Most arsons were registered in Kyiv (84), Odesa (82) and Kharkiv (71) regions. The police, together with the SBU, detained 288 arsonists, including 211 men, 12 women and 65 minors," Nebytov added.
