A Russian soldier from Surgut was charged with torture and interrogation of civilians during the occupation of Kherson.

This was reported by the police press service, Censor.NET reports.

Reportedly, during the occupation of Kherson, the Russian military was in one of the torture chambers where he interrogated civilians. The Kherson police managed to identify the suspect - a 46-year-old serviceman of the 50th separate operational brigade of the Southern District of the Russian National Guard from Surgut.

Kherson police investigators have completed the investigation and collected a complete evidence base against this war criminal. The indictment was approved by the prosecutor's office and sent to court. The defendant faces a sentence of eight to twelve years in prison for the war crimes.
