Defence spending for 2025 will amount to over UAH 2.2 trillion, - Shmyhal
In 2025, funding for the defence forces will amount to more than UAH 2.2 trillion.
This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal in a telegram, Censor.NET reports.
This amount is more than 26% of the country's gross domestic product.
"We place special emphasis on increasing the capacity of the Ukrainian defence industry. More drones, missiles, shells, artillery, armoured vehicles," Shmyhal said.
The Prime Minister also stressed the prospects of scaling up the so-called "Danish model". It involves partners ordering weapons from Ukrainian defence companies to meet the needs of the Armed Forces.
As a reminder, Zelenskyy and Rutte discussed strengthening air defence and involving NATO countries in the purchase of Ukrainian weapons under the "Danish model".
