Interest in recruitment has increased significantly, more than 1300 applications were recorded over week - Ministry of Defense
Over the past week, almost twice as many people applied to the recruiting centers of the Ukrainian army than the previous week.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
As noted, last week, 1319 people applied to the recruiting centers of the Ukrainian army with questions about joining the military service. This figure is almost twice as high as the result of the previous week. Thus, during the first week of the year, 717 Ukrainians applied to recruiting centers.
The Ministry of Defense reported that a total of 34,055 Ukrainians have received consultations on enlistment since the centers began operating. Of these, 7,550 have already become candidates for the Defense Forces.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Brigadier General of Justice Serhii Melnyk noted that such an increase in interest in recruitment demonstrates the high consciousness and readiness of our citizens to defend the country.
It is also reported that there are currently 47 recruiting centers of the Ukrainian army in Ukraine. The most active are residents of Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia regions and the city of Kyiv.
The recruitment centers offer more than 10,000 vacancies in various military formations, including the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, and the Security Service of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense reminded that the Ukrainian army recruitment centers do not issue summonses, and all consultations are provided in accordance with the confidentiality provisions.
