Shmyhal on today’s shelling: Russian scenario failed. Energy system is operating stably
On the morning of January 15, 2025, Russia carried out another massive strike against the Ukrainian energy sector.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal in his telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.
According to him, the enemy targeted the gas infrastructure and facilities that ensure normal life.
"Thanks to the air defense forces, the Russian scenario has failed once again. The power system is working steadily. I am grateful to the defenders for their professionalism. To stop Russia, we need decisive action: weapons, air defense systems, and tough sanctions. We must continue to put pressure on Russia to weaken its ability to wage war," emphasizes Shmyhal.
Missile attack on Ukraine on January 15, 2025
As reported, on January 15, the enemy sent Tu-95MS into the sky. The air force reported missiles fired in the direction of Stryi in Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Hostile targets were also spotted over the Khmelnytsky region. Later, Ukrenergo reported that emergency blackouts had been introduced in several regions. In the Lviv region, two critical infrastructure facilities were hit, and a house was damaged.
According to the Joint Forces Operation, Russian troops also targeted critical infrastructure in Prykarpattia: air defense was operating, the situation is under control. Four enemy targets were destroyed in the Khmelnytsky region during the attack.
