In Kyiv’s House of Officers, radio presenter’s hand exploded during broadcast
In the morning of January 19, in the center of Kyiv, a VP-9 bottom fuse exploded in the hands of a radio host of Army FM during the broadcast.
This was reported on Facebook by Armed Forces officer Myroslav Hai, Censor.NET reports.
"Today, at about 10:50 a.m., in the Central House of Officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a radio host of the Army FM channel picked up a VP-9 bottom fuze during the broadcast, and an explosion occurred," he wrote.
According to the military, the presenter sustained shrapnel wounds as a result of the explosion. According to him, the journalist's condition is stable.
The serviceman noted that the explosive device was used as a model.
"I remind you once again that you should not accept gifts from the frontline if you are not a specialist. Ammunition, grenades even without UXO, fuses, mines and any other military crap are designed for only one purpose - to kill or damage. If you are not an expert, do not take, do not give, do not pass, do not touch, call the police and the Ministry of Emergency Situations," emphasized Hai.
Hai added: "And even if you have received the BMT, do not accept munitions as a gift from outsiders. Let them think of you as a sucker, a pissant. Don't take mines, fuses, ammunition, grenades, etc. from strangers."
"People who understand something in this life do not point even toy weapons at people for fun and do not play with this topic. Well, or they don't live long...", Hai summarized.
