Security aid to Ukraine is not subject to restrictions of Trump’s executive order to suspend international support - Pentagon

The Pentagon has confirmed that US President Donald Trump's decree to suspend all international aid programs for 90 days does not affect aid to Ukraine.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Ukrainian Service of the Voice of America.
"Security aid to Ukraine is not subject to the restrictions of the recent foreign aid decree, as it applies only to development programs, not military support," the US Department of Defense said.
Thus, this means that the arms contracts for Ukraine under the USAI program issued by the Biden administration remain in effect. Also, Trump's specific decree does not affect any residual and previously planned arms deliveries from US warehouses under the PDA program, which was announced by Joe Biden.
At the same time, it is noted that it is not yet known how Trump's decree may affect non-military assistance to Ukraine.
As reported earlier, on the first day after his inauguration, US President Donald Trump signed a decree suspending all US foreign aid programs for 90 days until their compliance with his policy goals is analyzed.
