Enemy’s goal is to capture Toretsk and use it as bridgehead for offensive on Kostiantynivka - CMA
Russian troops are trying to capture Toretsk in the Donetsk region, and the battle for the Toretska mine is ongoing.
According to Censor.NET, citing Espresso, the head of the Toretsk CMA Vasyl Chynchyk said this.
"The enemy's strategic goal is to seize the city and use the territory of Toretsk as a bridgehead for an offensive on Kostiantynivka, in particular, conducting active hostilities from the Chasiv Yar. The enemy is trying to achieve this goal as soon as possible, making every effort to fully take control of the territory of the Toretsk community," said Chynchyk.
According to him, the situation is changing dynamically: either the enemy advances or the Defense Forces give a worthy rebuff and push the occupiers back. However, the overall situation remains tense and complicated.
"The battle for the Toretska mine is really ongoing. We have a part of the city where our guys are holding the line - a residential cooperative area. Our soldiers are giving a decent rebuff. As for the territory of the Toretsk community, these are the villages of Shcherbynivka, Novospaske, Nelipivka, Leonidivka, where our guys are also holding the line, defending our land, slowing down the enemy's advance towards Kostiantynivka and inflicting devastating strikes on the occupiers," emphasized Chynchyk.
