Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that Ukraine will never join the North Atlantic Alliance.

He said this on Slovak radio, as quoted by Aktuality, Censor.NET reports.

He said about Ukraine that it is in a "terrible state" today and depends on the help of the whole world.

The Slovak prime minister believes that Ukraine will lose a third of its territory after the agreement between Russia to end the war, will have foreign troops on its territory, and "will never join NATO."

Fico also noted that if you listen to the statements of some politicians recently, "Ukraine will have huge problems with joining the EU."

In addition, the Slovak prime minister said that he would not resign, despite the demand of tens of thousands of people at protests across Slovakia on Friday.

According to him, the government can be replaced only after the parliamentary elections.

The Slovak prime minister repeated several times that people at the protests were deceived by the organizers. According to him, it is a "pure lie" that the Slovak government wants to leave the EU.

Speaking about the protesters, Fico also noted that a third of them are Ukrainians "who oppose the Slovak government."
