USAID office in Ukraine ordered to suspend funding for all projects - mass media
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Ukraine has been ordered to suspend all projects and expenditures. This happened after the US State Department ordered the suspension of aid programs to other countries for 90 days for an audit.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported to Suspilne by one of the employees of the USAID office in Kyiv.
At the same time, according to him, the employees do not currently have detailed instructions on how they plan to implement the directive and whether there will be exceptions.
The USAID Suspilne press service replied that they had forwarded our request to the US State Department.
As a reminder, USAID in Ukraine supports the reconstruction of schools, provision of medical services, and repair of the critical energy system.
As reported in October, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has allocated $825 million to support Ukraine's energy system this winter. USAID is also allocating $237 million for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
