Additional UAH 1.5 billion to be allocated for construction of shelters in Kyiv educational institutions - KCSA
An additional UAH 1.5 billion will be allocated for the construction of dual-purpose structures with protective properties of radiation-proof shelters in educational institutions of the capital.
This was reported by the KCSA, Censor.NET reports.
As noted, the relevant amendments to the Program of Economic and Social Development of Kyiv for 2024-2026 as of this year were approved by the deputies at a meeting of the Kyiv City Council.
Thus, UAH 391.1 million was allocated to finance the construction of shelters in educational institutions in 2025. The additional funds will be used to complete work on a number of such facilities this year.
In addition, in 2025, the Program of Economic and Social Development of Kyiv for 2024-2026 provides a total of UAH 831.6 million for major repairs of shelters. Of this amount, UAH 570.9 million will be allocated for educational institutions, UAH 209.5 million for housing and communal services, and UAH 51.2 million for other social sectors.
