From one of the Air Force's radio engineering brigades, 10 operators of meter and centimeter wavelength radar stations were reassigned to man rifle positions in the Marines.

Censor.NET Editor-in-Chief Yurii Butusov wrote about this on his Facebook page.

He also noted that each operator had over two years of experience, but their opinions were not considered. After receiving the orders, three soldiers obtained discharge certificates and resigned, while three went AWOL.

At the same time, the army is in growing need of millimeter-wave radar operators to strengthen anti-drone air defense systems. There is also an urgent shortage of technical specialists in UAV and electronic warfare units, which have been established across the army but remain significantly understaffed.

"Why doesn’t the GS (General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - Ed.) leadership seek to transfer technical specialists with valuable expertise to these critical, understaffed positions? The more our technical units are engaged in combat, the more infantry lives we can save. We are losing personnel who, with a different approach, could fight normally and with great efficiency," Butusov emphasized.

What preceded it?

Earlier, Oleksii Honcharenko, People`s Deputy from the European Solidarity party, said that he had information that military technicians who service IRIS-T systems were being transferred to the infantry.

According to him, military technicians receive orders to be transferred or removed from the unit.

Earlier it was reported that specialists of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are being massively transferred to the infantry. Mobile fire groups are also being reduced.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that there were and are no plans to transfer the critically scarce specialists of the Air Force's engineering and aviation service who maintain aircraft to infantry units.

Air Force Commander Kryvonozhko confirmed that there are no plans to transfer them.

Zelenskyy instructed Commander Kryvonozhko not to reduce the number of specialists needed by the Air Force to perform combat missions.
