On the evening of Friday, January 31, a series of explosions occurred in Odesa. Russian invaders fired missiles at the historic city center of Odesa.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa RMA Oleh Kiper on Telegram, Censor.NET reports.

"Russian terrorists attacked the historic city center of Odesa with missiles. The threat remains," the official said at 8:30 pm.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force reported a high-speed target in the direction of Odesa.

"A high-speed target in the Black Sea in the direction of Odesa," it was reported at 7:50 pm.

At 8:55 p.m., the head of the RMA Kiper reported that a hotel employee was injured in the hostile attack. The woman was hospitalized. She is being provided with all necessary medical care.

In his turn, Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov said that two people have been injured.

"They are currently being transported to city hospitals, where they will be provided with all necessary medical care. Relevant services are working at the scene of the attack. There is a lot of damage and destruction in the UNESCO-protected area, the building, which is under enhanced protection, was damaged. Trolleybuses 7 and 9 are temporarily running to the railway station," the mayor said.

At 9:31 p.m., Kiper reported that two women were injured in an enemy attack in the center of Odesa. Both are hospitalized in moderate condition.

"All relevant services are working at the scene. I urge the citizens not to neglect safety measures and in case of an air raid alert, immediately go to the shelter," he wrote.

Later, during the telethon, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Kiper said that three people were injured in an enemy missile attack on the center of Odesa.

A boy born in 2006 sustained a head wound. He was also hospitalized.

"As a result of the explosions, a number of historical monuments, including the literary, historical, local history, archaeological museums, the museum of Western and Eastern art, as well as the philharmonic, have broken windows and damaged facades. All relevant services continue to work on eliminating the consequences," said the head of the RMA.

According to Kiper, Russians fired three ballistic missiles at the center of Odesa, hitting the hotel.
