On the morning of 1 February 2025, the Russian army hit a residential building in Poltava with a missile.

As noted, 2 people died as a result of the attack. Another 7 were injured, including a child.
Emergency workers rescued 21 people.
The entrance from the 1st to the 5th floor was destroyed and a fire broke out. Neighboring houses and 12 cars were damaged.

More than 460 rescuers, security forces and utility workers are working at the scene. Almost 100 pieces of equipment are in operation.
Psychologists from the State Emergency Service and the National Police provided assistance to 114 people.
