SSU exposes Russian businessman who manufactured 13,000 drones for Russian army

The Security Service of Ukraine has identified a Russian businessman who organized the mass production of more than 13,000 Geranium attack drones, which are the Russian equivalent of Iranian Shaheds.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the SSU press center.

The organizer was Timur Shagivaleyev, General Director of the Russian company "Special Economic Zone of Industrial and Production Type Alabuga".

As noted, Shagivaleyev organized the production of these drones on the basis of the enterprise in 2023. Subsequently, these UAVs have become an integral part of Russia's military strategy, regularly used to strike targets in Ukraine, including civilian infrastructure.

"This results in the deaths of people, including children, and injuries of varying severity, as well as material damage: destruction of buildings, property and other civilian infrastructure," the SSU said.

Based on the evidence collected, the SSU notified Shagivaliev of suspicion under Part 5 of Article 27, Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 437 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (aiding and abetting in the conduct of an aggressive war by prior conspiracy by a group of persons). The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officers are actively working to find and bring to justice all those responsible for these crimes.
