The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Norwegian embassy staff came under fire in Odesa on the evening of January 31.

According to Censor.NET, citing Yevropeiska Pravda, this was reported by the Norwegian Foreign Ministry.

"We can confirm that today (January 31 - Ed.) in the evening in Odesa there was a major attack on the area where the Norwegian embassy staff was located. They are safe," the statement said.

It is noted that the staff of the Norwegian Embassy remained alive and unharmed after the attack on the building in Odesa where they were staying.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Norwegian diplomats were among the people who were at the epicenter of the Russian missile strike on Odesa.

Earlier it was reported that explosions were heard in Odesa amid an air raid alert.

Russian invaders fired missiles at the historic center of Odesa.
