In January 2025, at least 94 Russian Shahed-type kamikaze drones entered the airspace of Belarus.

This is reported by the monitoring project "Belarusian Hajun", Censor.NET reports.

As noted, the drones entered the airspace of Belarus on January 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 19, 22, 24, 27, 28, 29, and 31.

At least 3 UAVs came directly from the Russian Federation, one of them was shot down by air defense forces near Gomel, and another drone was shot down near Mozyr. There was no information about damage or casualties on the ground as a result of the drones' crash.

Shaheds' breaches into Belarus in January

Thus, out of 94 UAVs in a month:

  • 30 returned to Ukraine and Russia;
  • 62 disappeared;
  • 2 were shot down by air defense.

"It is also reported that, as of today, Belarusian Hajun has recorded 495 breaches of Russian UAVs into Belarus over the entire observation period, 6 of which occurred in February. The number of Shaheds that have been shot down or crashed in Belarus and Latvia has reached 12."
