The convict was sentenced to 6 years in prison with confiscation of half of his property.

What did the investigation find?

It was proved that in the summer of 2023, the convict repeatedly provoked conflicts with employees of the territorial recruitment centres in Poltava. He grossly insulted the military, using foul language, and filmed it. He subsequently posted these videos with humiliating comments on social media, while denying the fact of Russia's armed aggression.

"In addition, on 29 August 2023, during a document check by police officers, the Poltava resident behaved aggressively, ignored demands to stop his illegal behaviour, and during his arrest resisted and inflicted bodily harm on a law enforcement officer," the Prosecutor General's Office reminds.

According to a medical examination, he was in a state of drug intoxication at the time of the incident.

The convict pleaded not guilty. He will remain in custody until the verdict comes into force.

As a reminder, on 29 August, the police opened a criminal investigation against fitness trainer and blogger Roman Zavoloka, who systematically insulted employees of the TCR and SS in Poltava. The man found military registration and enlistment office employees on the street handing out summonses, insulted them and filmed the conversation. In particular, he spat on and called war veteran Oleksandr Matsko, who wanted to hand him a summons, a "jerk".
