President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he was ready to sit down at the negotiating table with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin if this is the only option to reach a peace agreement.

The head of state said this in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, Censor.NET reports.

He was asked whether he would be able to sit at the same table with Putin if a potential peace process involving four groups does begin.

According to the head of state, he is ready for this if it is 'the only configuration' that can bring peace to Ukrainians and avoid losses.

Of course, we will agree to this option, to a meeting with these four participants. What does it matter what I think of him? I will not be kind to him—I consider him an enemy. And, frankly, I believe he considers me an enemy as well. That's it," Zelenskyy emphasized.

At the same time, he noted that today Ukraine cannot return all the territory occupied by Russia.

"We cannot lose millions of people for the sake of a result that may not come... Putin will not wait for me to get exhausted, we are fighting for our lives and existence, we have no other choice," Zelenskyy added.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is afraid of direct negotiations with Ukraine.

As a reminder, US President Donald Trump announced that he was preparing talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin that could lead to an end to the war in Ukraine.
