General Moisiuk and Captain Churkin appointed as Umierov’s deputies
The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed new deputy ministers of defense of Ukraine.
This was announced by the government's representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk, Censor.NET reports.
Thus, Yevhen Moisiuk and Valerii Churkin have been appointed as the new Deputy Minister of Defense.
Defense Minister Rustem Umierov also commented on the appointment.

"Lieutenant General Yevhen Moisiuk is one of the most experienced officers of our army, a combat commander. His area of responsibility is the development and generation of the Defense Forces, including mobilization processes and training of soldiers. Moisiuk's experience includes command of the Air Assault Forces, service as Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, participation in peacekeeping missions in Kosovo and Iraq," the minister said.
Valerii Churkin

"An officer, a combatant who joined the Armed Forces in the first days of the full-scale invasion, a leader in military technology innovation, and the head of the Armed Forces Scaling Center for Technology Solutions (CSTS).
As Deputy Minister, he will focus on defense innovations and technological development of the Ukrainian army. His unit is already implementing more than 50 key projects in the field of military IT and MILTECH, introducing modern solutions on the battlefield. In my new position, we expect to scale up this work," he explained.
