Fighting in Toretsk continues in urban area, enemy conducts active assault operations – "Khortytsia" OSGT
Fighting continues in the city of Toretsk, Donetsk region. Ukrainian defenders are resisting the Russian aggressor, who is outnumbered by several times.
Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops (OSGT), said this in a commentary to Interfax-Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
"Fighting in Toretsk continues in the urban area. The enemy is conducting active assault operations, putting pressure on the direction with all its might and means. The Ukrainian defense forces are resisting the Russian aggressor, who is outnumbered by several times, inflicting devastating losses in personnel and equipment," said the spokesman.
According to Voloshyn, as of 4 p.m. on Friday, February 7, the enemy attacked eight times in the Toretsk direction in the Toretsk area, four battles are still ongoing.
"The enemy is using all available forces and means to defeat us... both by relying on their numerical superiority and throwing 'assault meat' into attacks with their soldiers, even disposable ones, who are sent on one-way missions to assault—if they reach a certain point, they wait there until they have gathered enough personnel for the attack. The same is true on the information front, where they use the spread of their hostile psyops," the spokesman said.
As a reminder, the day before, the DeepState project stated that the information about the occupation of Toretsk by the enemy was false. The defense forces are holding the line.
