Frozen Russian assets in Europe must be used and returned to Ukraine - Tsahkna
Estonian Minister Margus Tahkna said that it is necessary to weaken the position of dictator Vladimir Putin. In addition, the Russian economy is currently not in the best condition.
According to Censor.NET, Tsakhkna said this in an interview with Voice of America.
"It is also running out of resources, but it still makes a profit from energy. So we can do these things without using our taxpayers' money to support Ukraine, but by reducing energy exports, reducing the income of Putin's military machine, but we also have frozen Russian assets in Europe worth more than 300 billion euros. So we need to use them and give them to Ukraine. This is a lot of money. So we have many opportunities," Tsakhkna said.
He also emphasized that on February 8, the Baltic states disconnected from the Russian energy system and thus deprived the aggressor of the opportunity to use energy as a weapon.
