Kremlin could neither confirm nor deny information about conversation between Putin and Trump
The spokesman for the Russian dictator Dmitry Peskov could not confirm or deny the telephone conversation between Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, which was previously reported by the media.
He said this in a commentary to the propaganda TASS, Censor.NET reports.
Peskov said that he could "neither confirm nor deny" the publications about the conversation between Putin and Trump.
At the same time, the Kremlin spokesman added that communications between Moscow and Washington "occur through different channels."
As the New York Post reported, Trump said in an interview that he had spoken to Putin on the phone to try to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine.
To recap, on February 7, US President Donald Trump said he was likely to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy next week. Zelenskyy later announced talks with Trump's team. Zelenskyy also wants Trump to meet with him first and then with Putin.
