Since beginning of 2025, 31 children abducted by Russia have been returned to Ukraine - OP
Since the beginning of 2025, 31 Ukrainian children illegally deported by Russia have been returned.
This was announced by Dariia Zarivna, director of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative and advisor to the head of the Presidential Office, Censor.NET reports.
According to Yale University research, 314 cases of illegal deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia have been documented in open sources alone. Some of them were transferred to adoption databases, which may complicate the return of children to their homeland.
"This is part of Russia's systemic policy of deportation, erasing the identity of Ukrainian children. It is very important that they prove in this study that children, mostly from Donetsk and Luhansk regions, were transferred to 21 regions of Russia, as far away as Siberia. For this purpose, Russian state aviation was used, including aircraft from Putin's personal fleet. All these facts have already been submitted to the International Criminal Court (ICC)," Zarivna said.
Earlier it was reported that since the beginning of 2025, 17 Ukrainians have been evacuated from the temporarily occupied territories and Russia, including the elderly, people with limited mobility and families with children.
