On February 11, a Russian supersonic bomber in the reconnaissance modification of the Su-24MR  intruded into  Polish airspace.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Radio Liberty.

The incident occurred at 14:09 Warsaw time, and the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces reported it in the evening (18:36 local time).

According to the Polish command, the Russian military aircraft stayed in the airspace over the territorial waters of Poland in the eastern part of the Gulf of Gdansk for 1 minute and 12 seconds, flying 6.5 kilometers deep. It is known that the plane departed from the Kaliningrad region, a Russian exclave on the Baltic. The flight route was immediately changed after the intervention of the Russian Armed Forces navigator, the Polish Operational Command informs. They also add that the flight was monitored by radar systems of the Polish Armed Forces.

The Polish air traffic control services on duty contacted the Russian side, which confirmed the violation of Polish airspace and reported that it was due to a malfunction of the Su-24MR's navigation system.

Ewa Zlotnicka, deputy spokesperson for the Polish Armed Forces Operations Command, said that the plane was conducting a planned training flight.
