Man with knife attacked and wounded soldier on territory of TCR in Kharkiv
Today, on February 12, 2025, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was attacked in Kharkiv on the territory of the Regional TCR and SS.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the Kharkiv Regional TCR and SS.
"We would like to draw the attention of Ukrainian society to the fact that this crime occurred against the backdrop of a shameful information campaign aimed at discrediting the military personnel of the territorial recruitment and social support centers and the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
During the attack, the perpetrator used a gas canister and stabbed a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Additional police crews and ambulances were sent to the scene. The attacker was detained by the National Police," the statement said.
As noted, the serviceman was provided with the necessary assistance, there is no threat to his life. Operational and investigative actions are underway. The command and personnel of the regional TCR and SS are providing maximum assistance to the investigation.
"An attack on a serviceman in the line of duty is a serious crime that must be investigated as soon as possible. We are convinced that following the investigation and the relevant court decision, the attacker will be punished inevitably in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation," the TCR added.
It is also noted that, in accordance with the Criminal Code of Ukraine, citizens of Ukraine are criminally liable for committing offenses.
Thus, in accordance with Article 114-1, obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations is punishable by imprisonment for a term of five to eight years.
Therefore, assault, insult, resistance or obstruction of the activities of military personnel will have consequences, and the offenders will be criminally liable.
