Ukraine and European defense holding company discuss joint production of 155 mm ammunition
At the Munich Security Conference, we are working on the development of the Ukrainian defense industry. A meeting was held with the heads of KNDS France and KNDS Deutschland, one of the largest European defense holdings, KNDS.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umierov.
"We discussed the maintenance of the equipment provided to Ukraine by our partners, as well as the supply of new weapons, including self-propelled artillery systems," he wrote.
Umierov said that Ukraine is open to localization of repairs and production of defense products on our territory.
"We considered the prospects of joint production of 155 mm ammunition. We discussed with KNDS Deutschland plans to develop capabilities for the repair and modernization of air defense/missile defense systems," Umierov said.
The head of the defense ministry noted: "We paid special attention to the development of UAV systems and the use of artificial intelligence in military equipment. This is the future of the defense industry, and we are interested in joint development of these technologies."
"Ukraine continues to cooperate with European and global leaders in the defense industry. We exchange experience, create joint projects, and move the defense industry forward," Umierov said.
