Europe is ready to take the initiative to provide security guarantees to Ukraine.
This was stated by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte following an emergency meeting on Ukraine held in Paris, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"Europe is ready and willing to take a step forward, to take the initiative in providing security guarantees for Ukraine," Rutte said, stressing that this is exactly what he concluded from the meeting.
As a reminder, an informal summit organised by French President Emmanuel Macron was held in Paris to discuss the war in Ukraine and security in Europe.
