NATO will continue to support Ukraine to ensure that this war ends in just peace – Rutte

NATO Secretary General Rutte

NATO will continue to support Ukraine.

This was stated by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte during a video address on the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports citing Radio Liberty.

"NATO will continue to support and stand by Ukraine, to help it with the challenges ahead, to ensure that this war ends in a just and lasting peace," Rutte said.

The NATO Secretary General reminded that during the years of Russian aggression, the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance helped Ukraine by providing weapons, equipment and training for its soldiers.

"We made (Ukraine - ed.) strong... The bravery and resilience of the Ukrainian people is an inspiration to the world," Rutte said.

The Secretary-General added that as Ukraine marks three years since Russia's full-scale invasion, "it is vital that NATO nations push even harder for a just and lasting peace."
