Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavicius is set to resign.
He stated this at a briefing today, Censor.NET reports.
"Today, I have decided to resign from the post of Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. The reason is the intensive blocking of important system reforms. This is not just the absence of support or political will, these are active actions intended to paralyze our reformatory efforts," he said.

"Some dubious personalities are forced into my team to take key positions in state enterprises. I view these actions as an attempt to establish control over cash flows. I refuse to work in such a system," Abromavicius said.
"Me and my team do not want to be a screen... These individuals have names. And I still want to say one of these names. This is Ihor Kononenko. As a representative of the political force that recommended me for the post of minister, he has recently done too much to block my work and the work of the ministry," the minister stressed.
"Over the last year, Kononenko lobbied his people to CEO position at Ukrkhimtransamiak. Kononenko had his own interests there. Instead of helping me get rid of Party of Regions' Bondyk, he brought his people who are now jointly running the enterprise... The culmination was the desire to have his deputy in the ministry that would be responsible for Naftohaz and a number of other state-owned enterprises," he said.
