President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko says risk of resumption of full-scale hostilities in the east of the country is still high.
The president said speaking at the graduation ceremony in the National Defense University of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.
"The prospect of the resumption of full-scale hostilities in the east due to constant violations of the commitments made by the Russian aggressor in Minsk is clearly visible by our experts," Poroshenko said.
The president recalled that there had been early graduations in the Ukrainian military universities during second year in a row.
"Reduction of the training program and early graduation are caused by the fact that the military threat from the east will remain high both over the long run and in the immediate future even under the most optimistic scenario in the Donbas, even in the case of sustainable truce, which would have emerged into a political settlement and lasting peace," he added.
