The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine (PGO) has found no criminal proceedings against former Odesa governor Mikheil Saakashvili that would feature him as a suspect of a defendant.
Saakashvili's press service published a response by PGO to their request regarding criminal proceedings against Saakashvili, Censor.NET reports.
"Upon processing the data in the Unified Registry of Pretrial investigations, no criminal cases against Mikheil Saakashvili as a suspect or defendant have been found," the official response reads.
The inquiry was sent by attorney Pavlo Bohomazov on Aug. 2, 2017.
The document reads that the Justice Ministry of Georgia requested detention and extradition of Mikheil Saakashvili, but was refused by the PGO.
