"1,050 devices have been allocated from Armenia for the needs of Ukrainian education: smartphones, laptops, tablets. The laptops and tablets will be handed over to educational institutions, and the smartphones will be given as personal gifts to students of vocational and technical education institutions from low-income families," the message reads.
This humanitarian aid is primarily intended for those regions of Ukraine with the highest share of online education: Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv and Kherson. Devices are distributed equally — 80 laptops/tablets and 68 smartphones are allocated to each region. And 10 devices will be transferred to the needs of the International Ukrainian-Armenian School.
"Devices for children are not only about connecting to lessons, not only about completing homework. It is also about the opportunity to communicate with peers, learn new information, socialize. It is very important for us to provide them with such opportunities," the Minister of Education said and science.
