Several leaders and ambassadors of European countries paid tribute to the millions of victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933.

According to Censor.NET , this was reported by the European Pravda.

"Today we remember the millions of children, women and men who died of starvation during the Holodomor genocide. 90 years later, Russia is once again turning food into a weapon, continuing its aggression against Ukraine. We must do everything we can to stop the atrocities. We continue to stand with Ukraine," said President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola.

"Russia's war with its most serious crimes is not the first attempt to wipe the Ukrainian people off the face of the Earth. Today in Kyiv, I honoured the victims of the Holodomor - millions of Ukrainians who died as a result of deliberate mass starvation, a genocide committed by the Soviet authorities," said Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonite.

"After a night marked by waves of Russian drones targeting Kyiv, I was honoured to take part in the official Holodomor commemoration ceremony in memory of the millions of Ukrainians who died of starvation during the famines organised by Stalin," said French Ambassador Gael Weissier.

Earlier it became known that 55 UN member states and the EU delegation signed the Declaration initiated by Ukraine at the UN to mark the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933.

To date, the Holodomor has been recognised as genocide of the Ukrainian people by the parliaments of about three dozen countries, as well as by the European Parliament and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
