As noted, the Main Directorate of Mine Action, Civil Protection and Environmental Safety inspected the training of an engineer battalion of one of the units of the Support Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which will soon begin to carry out mine clearance tasks in the de-occupied territories.

"The GCS-200 (Global Clearance Solutions) mechanised demining machines, which are used by this unit, are an unmanned platform controlled remotely. During demining, mines are detonated or destroyed by a working body that has a number of modifications and is used in accordance with specific application conditions.
The GCS-200 is a very manoeuvrable tracked vehicle that can turn on the spot with a minimum turning radius of about 4 metres," the statement said.
It is also noted that GCS platforms are used in more than 40 countries and have proven to be a reliable and effective demining tool.
