Six people, including two children, died in road accident in Vinnytsia region. PHOTOS
The accident occurred on 16 October at around 05:20 pm near the village of Pysarivka, Vinnytsia district.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the press service of the Vinnytsia regional police.
On the Stryi-Ternopil-Kropyvnytskyi-Izvaryne motorway, a 36-year-old driver of a DAF truck has lost control, drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a RENAULT TRAFIK minibus driven by a 48-year-old man who was moving in the opposite direction.
As a result of the accident, the minibus driver and five of his passengers: 16, 17, 19, 21 and 23 years old, died on the spot.
The truck driver was hospitalised with his injuries. He is currently in custody.
The vehicles were taken to the impound lot. Blood samples were taken from the driver of the DAF vehicle for toxicological examination.
Criminal proceedings have been opened over the incident. The perpetrator of the accident faces 5 to 10 years in prison.
