The State Border Guard Service and the National Guard received military medical buses from the Norwegian Defence Logistics Agency. The vehicles were donated as part of NATO's Comprehensive Assistance Package for Ukraine.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The military ambulances are equipped with medical equipment that allows resuscitation teams to work autonomously with three seriously injured patients. They can also transport 4 more lying and 8 sitting patients under medical supervision at the same time.
The day before, the technical staff of the National Guard and State Border Guard Service medical facilities had undergone foreign training on the operation and maintenance of buses and equipment installed on them.
The NATO assistance project also provides for the maintenance of medical buses for three years, a two-year subscription to Starlink satellite communications systems, and the supply of medical supplies.
