President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to today's attacks by Russian occupiers on Ukrainian cities.
Zelenskyy wrote about this in his Telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.
He stressed that air alert has been in place in Ukrainian cities since four in the morning. Due to the attack by Russian drones, there is damage and casualties in various districts of Kyiv. There were also strikes and damage in the Poltava, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.
"I thank our defenders of the skies who shoot down the Shahedis every night. This year, almost every night, sometimes in the morning and during the day, there is a threat of Shaheds. Attack drones, which were given to Russia by Iran and which have become one of the main tools of Russian terror against Ukraine. We need to put more pressure on Russia's ability to produce such weapons. We need to be able to destroy the storage bases of the Shahed, as well as the entire infrastructure for their production and logistics. Terrorists, unfortunately, know how to use the time given to them by the indecision of the free world," the President added.
As a reminder, on the night of 2 November 2024, the enemy struck with a Kh-31P guided missile from the airspace of the Belgorod region and 71 Shahed-type attack UAVs and unidentified drones from the directions of Orel and Kursk.
According to the Air Force, as of 11.00 a.m., 39 enemy UAVs were confirmed to have been shot down in the Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Sumy, and Poltava regions. 21 drones were locally lost, and 5 UAVs returned to Russia.
