According to the case file, the defendant was a military pensioner from Mykolaiv region who came to the attention of the occupiers during his trips to Russia before the full-scale war.

After the full-scale invasion began, the man was contacted remotely by an FSB officer and offered to cooperate. In exchange for helping the ruscists, the man was promised "evacuation" to Russia with further resolution of his material issues.

On the instructions of a Russian intelligence officer, the agent reconnoitered the locations of the Defence Forces, where the ruscists planned to launch air strikes using Shahed-type kamikaze drones and missile weapons.

The traitor also conducted additional reconnaissance at the sites of "arrivals" to inform the FSB about the consequences of enemy attacks.

In order to expand the FSB's intelligence capabilities and obtain additional intelligence, the defendant was looking for "candidates for new Russian agents".

To do this, he tried to use his acquaintances, former law enforcement officers, whom he asked about the mood of current employees during everyday conversations.
