The Verkhovna Rada registered a draft resolution to dismiss Rustem Umierov from the post of Minister of Defence of Ukraine.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the project card.

The resolution was initiated by European Solidarity People`s Deputy Oleksii Honcharenko.

Earlier in his telegram channel, he said that Umerov was responsible for supplying low-quality mines to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"To put it simply, the Ministry of Defence under Umierov's leadership simply failed to produce ammunition properly. The money was allocated. But the ammunition was defective. It was adopted and passed all the tests, and on the FRONT LINE it was realised that it was dangerous for the personnel," Honcharenko wrote.

He also accused Umierov of incompetence: "I said this just a couple of months after his appointment - he is incompetent. He should be fired immediately. Because of such appointments, we are losing the war."
